Langkawi 2007

It’s been years since I last went to Langkawi, and the end of the year 2007 brings me back to this Isle of Langkawi. What I remember of the island is the huge eagle, cheap chocolates and of course the Underwater World marine park, yeah yeah not one of the biggest attractions on the island I know. I did not manage to visit a whole lot of places as I spent quite a lot of time at one place taking pictures, I estimate over one thousand shots were taken! It’s going to be time consuming to just go through the pics let alone edit them, so I will split the post into segments, covering each place I visited.

MIRC e-Marketing Conference

Today was the MIRC e-Marketing Conference, held at Equatorial Hotel, Penang. The tickets were priced at a very affordable price it’s almost a steal, imagine RM30 for two days, inclusive of two tea breaks and lunch (buffet). A very big thank you to MIRC for sponsoring the tickets, allowing a bigger crowd to be able to participate.

Super Robot Wars OG

December 7th, 2007 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Being a robot fan and a Super Robot Wars game fan, I found some nice videos of three of my favourite robots from Super Robot Wars OG 2 for the Playstation 2. Some of the attacks are way over the top, I guess that’s what makes them so appealing and interesting. I’m sure a certain friend of mine would love to watch the attacks of the Ryu Ko Oh and Ko Ryu Oh.

A Man Without Bad Habits

December 6th, 2007 | 6 Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Once a man was waiting for a taxi.

A beggar came along and asked him for some money.
The man ignored him. But being a professional, the beggar kept on pestering him. The man became irritated when he realized that the beggar would not leave him alone unless he parts with some money.

Suddenly an idea struck him.He told the beggar, “I do not have money, but if you tell me what you want to do with the money, I will certainly help you.”
“I would have bought a cup of tea”, replied the beggar.

The man said, “Sorry man. I can offer you a cigarette instead of tea”. He then took a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and offered one to the beggar.

The beggar told, “I don’t smoke as it is injurious to health.”

The man smiled and took a bottle of whisky from his pocket and told the beggar, “Here, take this bottle and enjoy the stuff.
It is really good”.

The beggar refused by saying, “Alcohol muddles the brain and damages the liver”.

The man smiled again. He told the beggar, “I am going to the race course. Come with me and I will arrange for some tickets and we will place bets. If we win, you take the whole amount and leave me alone”.

As before, the beggar politely refused the latest offer by saying, “Sorry sir, I can’t come with you as betting on horses is a bad habit.”

Suddenly the man felt relieved and asked the beggar to come to his home with him. Finally, the beggar’s face lit up in anticipation of receiving at least something from the man. But he still had his doubts and asked the man, “Why do you want me to go to your house with you”.

The man replied, “My wife always wanted to see how a man with no bad habits looks like.”

Penang Heritage Trail: Part 1

Alright, finally got to uploading the pics from the Penang Heritage Trail outing which I went with my friends a few weeks ago, yes I know it’s way overdue, but better late than never right? Now eventhough we’re local Penangites, that doesn’t mean we’ve seen every nook and cranny on the island, and what’s more, we have better cameras in hand right now, so why not go around documenting the interesting places of our own hometown? Firstly it’s cheap, and since we’re still fairly new to photography, it will serve as a good and economical practice. :)
